The Royal Shakespeare Company has revealed the full cast for Laura Wade’s new adaptation of The Cherry Orchard.

Joining previously announced Kenneth Branagh as Lopakhin, Helen Hunt as Madame Ranyevskaya, and Bill Pullman as Gaev are Chumisa Dornford-May as Anya, Alfred Enoch as Trofimov, Esther Smith as Varya, and Sophie Stone as Sharlotta.

The new adaptation of the Russian dramatist’s final play, adapted by Olivier-winning playwright Wade (The Constant Wife, Home, I’m Darling, Posh and Rivals), will be directed by RSC co-Artistic Director Tamara Harvey. The production, which will play the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon July 10-August 29, will officially open July 21. 

The set and costume designer for The Cherry Orchard will be Anna Fleischle, with lighting design by Aideen Malone, original compositions by Laura Rossi, sound design by Claire Windsor, movement direction by Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster, fight direction by Alex Payne, and music direction by Tomek Pieczora. Casting is by Charlotte Sutton.
