Alex Pereira was in the corner for his sister’s latest MMA fight on Saturday night.
Aline Pereira originally went 1-2 in the sport that her famous brother has dominated before taking a career break at the end of 2023.
After a 3-0 run in Karate Combat, the 35-year-old returned to MMA with a unanimous decision win over Nejra Repp at LFA 222 last November.

How Aline Pereira beat Jade Masson-Wong
Aline Pereira made it two MMA wins in a row against Jade Masson-Wong (3-3) on Saturday night.
The Brazilian was floored early when her opponent caught a body kick attempt. Masson-Wong took top position and maintained it for a few minutes, but lost it when the referee deemed that she wasn’t being active enough.
Pereira started to land her elite-level strikes at the end of round one and continued to look slick on her feet throughout the second round.
Masson-Wong was badly hurt late in the second round, but she responded by securing a takedown, hopping on Pereira’s back, and threatening a choke.
Pereira landed cleaner and more strikes in round three, but Masson-Wong made her mark on the five-minute frame with intermittent blitz attacks.
It was a fight that could’ve gone either way, so it was no surprise when the judges returned a split decision verdict.
Ultimately, Pereira did enough to get two 29-28 scorecards and the third win of her MMA run.
Alex Pereira hopped in the cage to give his sister a hug and a kiss after the verdict was made official.
When is Alex Pereira’s next fight?
Alex Pereira won’t celebrate his sister’s win for long, as he’s got his own fight to prepare for.
The UFC superstar will attempt to become the first three-weight champion in company history next month.
Pereira will look to add the interim heavyweight title to his collection in the UFC White House co-main event on June 14.
The former light heavyweight and middleweight champion will face Ciryl Gane in a highly anticipated matchup.
Tom Aspinall expects to face the winner of Pereira vs. Gane in a heavyweight unification clash later this year.
