KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A fight between two groups of people at the Bally’s Casino parking garage led to a fatal shooting late Monday night, police reported.

The Kansas City Police Department stated that officers responded to the 1800 block of East Front Street about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting report.

First responders found a man lying unresponsive in the parking garage of the Bally’s Casino near a vehicle. EMS rushed him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, according to KCPD.

The police department said investigators believe the gunshot victim was with a group of people in the parking lot/garage when they ran into another group of people. According to police, an argument took place between the two groups, and it resulted in gunfire that struck the victim.

The shooting suspect or suspects then left the area in an unknown direction away from the parking lot, KCPD reported.

Officers believed it to be an isolated incident in the parking lot, and there was no disruption to operations at the Bally’s Casino.
