John Summit is going big, announcing his first-ever arena tour in support of his latest album, CTRL ESCAPE, on Wednesday.
While the majority of DJs perform at nightclubs and music festivals, Summit is joining a list of several prominent DJs who have transitioned to major arena and stadium tours, including Illenium, The Chainsmokers, Tiësto and Kaskade.
The CTRL ESCAPE Arena Tour, which kicks off in October, will span 20 shows across North America, including Chicago, Miami, Brooklyn, Boston and more. “The tour will feature a new production concept that reflects Summit’s forward-thinking approach, creating a larger-than-life atmosphere and immersive experience for this next era. Fans can expect high-impact production to elevate every moment of the show,” according to a press release.
Before the arena tour gets underway, Summit will also make his Ibiza residency debut this summer, as well as headline several festivals, including Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland and Experts Only.
The tour follows Summit’s sophomore album, CTRL ESCAPE, which was released on April 15. “This is a kind of a crazy, artistic journey, and I love to be able to share my story of breaking out of the matrix that is the corporate life and really try to push boundaries as best I can in electronic music,” the artist previously said of the album. “Like this is my life and passion, and I truly pour my soul into this because I just fucking love it so much.”
The artist presale kicks off May 27 at 10 a.m. local time through May 28 at 8 a.m., with additional presales later in the day. General on sale follows May 29 at 10 a.m. local.
