In last Thursday’s victory over the Fire, Breanna Stewart led the way for the Liberty as she recorded 22 points and seven rebounds while Pauline Astier added 20 points and three rebounds of her own.
Now New York will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Valkyries in a tough home matchup.
On the other side, Golden State enters Thursday’s contest with a 2-1 record after losing at home to the Chicago Sky last Wednesday.

Gabby Williams led the way for the Valkyries in last Wednesday’s loss as she ended the game with 18 points and five rebounds while Veronica Burton recorded 16 points, three rebounds and four assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Valkyries, they have three players listed on their injury report, though Burton is not one of them.

Of course, Burton had been dealing with an illness that caused her to miss practice on Sunday but she is not listed on the injury report and will be available for Thursday’s matchup.
Golden State has ruled out Cecilia Zandalasini due to a concussion as she will miss her third consecutive contest.

The Valkyries have also ruled out Juste Jocyte due to reconditioning while Iliana Rupert remains sidelined due to her pregnancy.
On the other side, the Liberty have six players listed on their injury report, including both Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally.

New York has listed Ionescu as questionable due to a left foot injury and there is a chance she could make her season debut against the Valkyries after she was able to scrimmage during Monday’s practice.
The Liberty have also listed Sabally as questionable due to reconditioning and there is a chance she could also make her season debut on Thursday.

Betnijah Laney-Hamilton has been listed as questionable due to personal reasons while Marine Fauthoux has been ruled out due to reconditioning.

Leonie Fiebich and Raquel Carrera have both been ruled out as they remain away from the team due to overseas obligations.
