The Adam Sandler comedy franchise Grown Ups is expanding, with Grown Ups 3 in the works at Netflix, the company announced during their Upfront presentation on Wednesday.

Kyle Newacheck has inked a deal to direct after working with Sandler on projects including Happy Gilmore 2 — one of the biggest streaming titles of last year, which set a Nielsen record with 2.89B minuted viewed in its first week.

Script is by Adam Sandler & Tim Herlihy. Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo, and Tim Herlihy will produce, with Kevin Grady and Judit Maull exec producing.

Starring Sandler and frequent collaborators out of his Happy Madison universe, the Grown Ups franchise revolves around a set of childhood friends who are brought back together as adults over the course of a summer vacation. In addition to Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, and Kevin James are set to return for the threequel.

Directed by Dennis Dugan, both prior Grown Ups films were released theatrically by Sony’s Columbia Pictures. The first, released in the summer of 2010, did around $272M worldwide, with 2013’s Grown Ups 2 grossing around $247M. Netflix is the natural destination for the next film in the series, given that Sandler has been under a production deal with Netflix for over a decade, resulting in 10+ films and other projects.
