Hailey Bieber is getting real about her relationship with the paparazzi.

While speaking with Interview Magazinefor its spring cover story, the Rhode founder, 29, addressed a rumor that she calls the photographers on herself.

“Historically we’ve seen that paparazzi are awful,” she told Interview’s editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg. “I don’t think it’s gotten any better or any worse. The spirit behind it is very dark and I don’t think it’s something that anybody asks for in this world, so I find it really funny when I’ll see people online being like, ‘She calls the paparazzi on herself every day.’ It’s so icky.”

“For the record, people, she’s not calling the paps,” Ottenberg replied, to which Hailey confirmed, “No.”

The model also reflected on how being in the public eye has influenced her personal style.

“When you’re being photographed just leaving the house, you have to think about style in a lot of different ways,” she shared. “I’ve worn something where in person it looked great and then it photographed super awkwardly, so I’m a lot more conscious of it. I tailor everything. I’m meticulous about it all.”

Despite her meticulousness, Hailey said she’s “dialing everything down.”

“At my core I feel the coolest and the cutest and the sexiest in a t-shirt and jeans or a pair of great trousers and a little tank top,” she explained. “I think there’s something to be said about effortlessness. The more I’m trying to make an outfit look good, the less it works. It doesn’t need to be that deep.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the beauty mogul spoke about her life as a mom to son Jack Blues, 19 months, whom she shares with husband Justin Bieber.

When asked if she worries about what kind of world her son Jack is growing up in, Hailey admitted she worries “every day” about it.

“That’s probably the most anxiety I have as a parent,” she continued. “The world he’s growing up in is very, very scary and it feels so bleak, thinking about the future, with how things are going. But I just have to close my eyes and have faith. As long as he’s growing up in an environment at home that’s really loving and beautiful, that’s all that I can hope for.”

Hailey also shared that she “definitely” wants to expand her family.

“I definitely want more than one, but I’m taking it one at a time. Some days I want two. Some days I want five,” she added, noting that she’s “always wanted to be married and have kids and a family from a super young age.”
