Spain’s José María Olazábal got off to a strong start at this year’s Masters golf tournament in Augusta, sitting atop of leaderboard for the time being Thursday morning. 

Olazábal is considered a massive longshot to win the 2026 Masters, with betting odds listed around +100000 to +300000. The payout on a $100 bet of $100,000 would be absolutely staggering should he hold on.  The two-time Masters champion is appearing in the tournament as a past winner but is not expected to contend, sitting deep in the field odds for the 2026 event.

Sam Burns sat near the top of the leaderboard shortly after 10 am EDT Thursday and  is generally listed at odds between +6600 and +10000 to win the 2026 Masters.

Also off to a solid start, Max Homa. 

Homa’s odds to win the 2026 Masters are generally listed between +12500 and +22500 for a potential payout of between $12500 and $22500 on a $1000 bet.
