Nationwide tributes create a place for the community to gather and reflect on day dedicated to those who gave all
Mooresville, N.C. – May 21, 2026 – This Memorial Day, as a part of Lowe’s longstanding commitment to honoring service members and their families, Lowe’s is inviting community members across the country to join its stores in honoring the brave military members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
On Monday, May 25, Lowe’s stores nationwide will dedicate a memorial parking space to fallen heroes. Decorated with flowers, flags and seating, the spaces are designed to offer associates, customers and communities a place for reflection, remembrance and gratitude. At 3 p.m. local time, all stores will pause for a nationwide moment of silence to honor the lives lost in service to the United States.
“Serving those who served is deeply ingrained in who we are at Lowe’s,” said Joe McFarland, former Marine and Desert Storm veteran and Lowe’s executive vice president of stores. “Memorial Day is a time to honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives for our country. We are proud to create spaces in our communities where their service can be remembered, and their legacy honored.”
Lowe’s longstanding commitment to the military community extends throughout the year through its Everyday 10% Military Discount*, commitment to safe and affordable housing initiatives and more than 26,000 military associates. In addition, through August 2, Lowe’s customers can round up their tra nsactions to the nearest whole dollar at checkout in stores to support veterans and military families through Building Homes for Heroes and the USO.**
