Like, Nick Kurtz of the A’s of Yolo County has drawn a walk in 19 consecutive games.

That is amazing, and that is nearly history, as he has tied Ted Williams for the third longest streak ever, and he is just behind Barry Bonds and Roy Cullenbine, a name that is certainly being Googled a lot more in the last week than ever before, who drew 22, 22 straight games with a walk in 1947, I believe with the Tigers.

Roy Cullenbine was well ahead of his era in terms of, just approach, as he was just walking all the time, and before, well before it was cool.

And this was not because people were terrified of, of Roy Cullenbine, to my understanding.

He was not, like, one of the great sluggers of his era, although he did have some home runs, and he was, he was pretty good.

it is not a Barry Bonds, Nick Kurtz, Ted Williams situation, but that is the mark to beat.

And I gotta be honest, I think, I think he’s gonna do it.

I think Nick Kurtz is gonna do it.

I think that he is going to get to 23.

He has been drawing intentional walks.

It is interesting, though, he is facing the, the Cleveland Guardians this weekend at home, and so I, I look forward to seeing if, if, if, if that team, pitchers who are good but also will walk some guys.

Like Joey Cantillo, he’ll, he’ll walk some guys.

I know that’s left on left.

But yeah.

Yeah.

Kurtz is amazing.

He is so much fun to watch, and, this is a very cool record, a Major League record that he has a real chance of breaking.

So we will see if he can do it.
