Taylor Swift has reportedly been going the extra mile to keep details about her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce private, yet information about their special day continues to surface.

In a May 2026 interview with Page Six, Sarah Luetto—a partner at Blank Rome’s Matrimonial & Family Law Group in Los Angeles—shared her thoughts on what a prenup between Swift and Kelce might entail. Luetto suggested the famous couple could include a clause that forbids them from discussing their marriage publicly.

“Swift and Kelce may wish to include terms fostering confidentiality and privacy,” Luetto told the outlet. “This may include non-disparagement or non-disclosure terms related to their relationship.”

She thinks there will be “some exceptions,” though, especially since Swift is a global pop sensation: “In Taylor’s case, she would likely not want to include provisions limiting her from singing about her relationship in songs, particularly since there is always so much speculation about the subjects of her songwriting.”

Luetto also indicated that a potential NDA could prevent Swift and Kelce from disclosing the terms of their prenup, explaining, “they may include terms requiring mediation or, in states where permitted, the use of a private judge for any dissolution proceedings.”

“For a high-profile couple like Swift and Kelce, privacy provisions of this nature would be particularly valuable in shielding the details of any potential dispute from public scrutiny,” she added.

Additionally, the Grammy winner and NFL superstar’s prenup will likely state that they don’t intend to merge their assets, but it could still allow them to pursue joint business ventures together during their marriage.

“Given the complexities of their respective estates—and the lengths Swift has gone to in order to buy back her masters and protect her music catalog—it is likely that any prenuptial agreement would keep their respective estates entirely separate, regardless of any efforts made by either party to enhance the other’s estate during the marriage.”

Since Swift and Kelce each own several properties across the country, they can also include clauses that decide which state’s laws would apply if there’s ever a dispute.

Speaking of their real estate holdings, it’s still unclear where Swift and Kelce will draft their prenup. That’s an important decision, seeing as prenup laws differ from state to state. A source told TMZ that the duo has already ruled out California, leaving Rhode Island, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, and New York still in the running.

TMZ reported that Rhode Island “might be the best overall fit,” with Kansas a close second thanks to the state’s prenup-friendly laws.

Senator Tim Kaine, a lifelong Chiefs fan, later weighed in on Swift and Kelce’s search for the most prenup-friendly state, claiming there’s no need for them to be so focused on it. “If you’re spending too much time thinking about the prenup before the wedding, hmm…,” he told TMZ, clearly implying that it could be a red flag.
