WCWS scores, bracket, TV schedule for 2026 NCAA softball tournament

The 2026 NCAA softball tournament continues with eight teams set to open play at the Women’s College World Series beginning Thursday, May 28, in a double-elimination format at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

The last two teams standing will meet in a best-of-three WCWS championship series, starting June 3.

Even without the OU softball program making it, there is a heavy SEC presence in OKC with No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Texas, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 7 Tennessee and Mississippi State making the field.

The three non-SEC teams bring plenty of intrigue though. No. 4 Nebraska is led by two-way star Jordy Frahm, who won two titles with OU before transferring to her home state. No. 8 UCLA is the sport’s all-time leader with 12 NCAA titles. No. 11 Texas Tech returns after a runner-up finish last year.
