SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Avista Utilities is urging customers to prepare for possible power outages as high winds are expected to hit Spokane County and surrounding areas on Wednesday.

“A little preparation today can help if the power goes out tomorrow,” the utility stated in a social media advisory Tuesday.

Residents can monitor current outage conditions and find safety information through Avista’s online resources here as the weather event approaches.
