Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are clashing in the 65th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on May 20. After being asked to bat first, MI could not come up with an impressive batting show.

They suffered a batting collapse at the top as KKR bowlers were right on the money, restricting the opposition from going big. MI could only add 147/8 with Corbin Bosch being the highest run-getter with 32 runs.

Notably, KKR wicketkeeper batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi was named in the playing XI. However, he was ruled out of the second innings.

Why cannot Angkrish Raghuvanshi come to bat in KKR vs MI IPL 2026 game?

Raghuvanshi sustained a finger injury in the first innings. Due to the injury, he left the field midway and was replaced by Tejasvi Dahiya as the wicket-keeper. In the second innings, he was replaced by Tejasvi as a concussion substitute.

Raghuvanshi is the leading run-scorer for KKR in IPL 2026. At an average of 42 and a strike rate of 146, he has scored 422 runs in 12 innings. He has also slammed five half-centuries in the tournament.

Meanwhile, it is a must-win game for KKR to keep their playoffs hopes alive. If they lose against Mumbai, they will be eliminated from the tournament. They currently take the eighth spot in the points table with 11 points, having won five games and lost six out of 12.

On the other hand, Mumbai have been eliminated from the tournament. They are placed in the ninth spot in the points table with eight points. Out of 12 games, Hardik Pandya & Co. have won four and lost eight.
