Squirrel White‘s NFL career lasted just two weeks.

The undrafted free agent wide receiver from Florida State signed with the Chicago Bears on April 25.
On May 11, the Bears announced that White has been placed on the Reserve/Retired list.
The Bears offered no further explanation in their news release.
Full name Marquarius Malik White, Squirrel used to mimic the movements of a squirrel in his great-grandmother’s garden. So she started calling him Squirrel, and it stuck.
That nickname won’t take to the NFL stage now, though.

Why is Squirrel White retiring?
White’s retirement reasoning is thus far unknown.
