The WTA Strasbourg women’s tournament is underway. This is a WTA 500 event, a chance for a number of WTA players to gain matches, rhythm, confidence, points, and money before heading over to the French Open next week. This is a particularly good tournament for players who did not go very deep in Rome and need the match play before Paris. Players who went deep in Rome don’t need to play here because they need rest, but lots of other players want the opportunity for this tune-up heading into Roland Garros. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.
WTA Strasbourg
Kessler – Cristian: Time 14:00 EST
H2H: 0-2
McCartney Kessler faces Jaqueline Cristian in a top-50 matchup. Kessler is World No. 50 while Cristian is No. 28. Kessler has six match wins on clay in 2026, Cristian only two. However, Cristian played in both the Madrid and Rome tournaments, whereas Kessler played only in Rome. Cristian played more tournaments in recent weeks, but doesn’t have a lot of wins because she faced very tough competition.
Best Bet to Make
Kessler’s 6-2 advantage in clay wins this year is canceled out by Cristian facing stronger competition in most of her recent matches. Cristian also has the 2-0 head-to-head advantage as well. The betting markets have priced this match as a virtual toss-up, with the best moneyline price for both players being nearly equal. The lean here is to Cristian because she has played better opponents and has tested herself a little more in recent weeks.
That being said, betting on Cristian winning is a value bet for sure.
Value bet/ the best odds: Cristian winning @1.92 @pinnacle
Eala – Oliynykova: Time 15:30 EST
H2H: 0–0
Alexandra Eala faces Oleksandra Oliynykova. Eala is ranked World No. 42, while Oliynykova is No. 68. However, Oliynykova is 10-6 in 16 clay matches in 2026. Eala is only 4-4, which is why the betting markets have Oliynykova priced as a slight favorite despite the lower world ranking. Both players made the third round of the recent Rome tournament and have had relatively similar results in recent weeks.
Best Bet to Make
There isn’t a dramatic difference between the two players. Oliynykova has more clay wins, but Eala was comparably good in the important Rome and Madrid tournaments, which were just played, so if the markets seem to be valuing Oliynykova’s clay record, they might be looking too much at raw wins and losses. Eala’s track record in big tournaments is not worse than Oliynykova’s. Eala moneyline offers better value here.
That being said, betting on Eala winning is a value bet for sure.
Value bet/ the best odds: Eala winning @2.00 @bet365
Bouzkova – Siniakova: Time 19:30 EST
H2H: 0–2
Marie Bouzkova and Katerina Siniakova are both top-40 players in the WTA rankings. Bouzkova, however, lost each of her matches in Madrid and Rome, whereas Siniakova was able to win a match at those two 1,000-point tournaments. Siniakova, it should be noted, suffered a very painful loss in Rome to Anna Kalinskaya. She had nine different match points but couldn’t win any of them and ultimately lost the match. She needs a win here to shore up her confidence before the French Open.
Best Bet to Make
Siniakova’s painful loss to Kalinskaya could negatively affect her, but Strasbourg is not a high-pressure tournament. Siniakova should be able to play with a reasonable amount of relaxation. She has been the better player in recent weeks, getting better results than Bouzkova. Siniakova moneyline offers a reasonably good price, so she should be the pick.
That being said, betting on Siniakova winning is a value bet for sure.
