“WWE Raw” follows up it’s post-WrestleMania show this Monday, April 27, as WWE heads to the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas. Two matches are currently on tap, further setting the stage for the first PLE after WrestleMania— Backlash on May 9 in Tampa, Florida.

The Intercontinental Title scene gets some love tonight, as Penta goes toe-to-toe with Rusev. Bulgaria’s finest has seemingly been rebuilt toward a strong mid-card position after being one of the quickest to be eliminated in the Royal Rumble match in January. Rusev stood tall last week after spoiling Je’Von Evans’ match against Ethan Page, seemingly inching the four wrestlers into an upcoming title match or tag-team clash.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria are also in action when they look to fend off The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. The match will be Perez’s first since she returned from injury last month.

To close out last week’s “Raw,” Jacob Fatu approached Roman Reigns, requesting his shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Another interaction is expected tonight. Becky Lynch and Joe Hendry are also advertised to get time on Netflix.

Check out the full “WWE Raw” lineup below, which starts at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix:

  • Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. The Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez)

  • Oba Femi vs. Grayson Waller

  • Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano

  • Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c.) def. Iyo Sky

The Street Profits quickly shut down Rollins backstage. Ford tells him last week wasn’t at all about him. It was about the titles. That was a nice, simple reason for last week. It was expected, but the only way to explain its randomness.

Here comes Rey Mysterio, who has entered a bit of a no-man’s land in this stretch of his career. Expect more shenanigans from the Americano crew in this one.

Hendry continues his song to ask for a firing of Logan Paul, who charges his way out to the ring with Austin Theory. He yells into the mic how he can’t be fired. The dude is fully in over-the-top mode. The Vision is suddenly a comedy act. What a fall. Theory jumps on the mic to say they’re winners because they have the tag titles. Hendry counters by calling them losers. Theory threatens Hendry, and Hendry attacks back, only to get attacked before the Street Profits come to his aid.

Who remembers Elias? Nobody? No? OK, well, here comes Joe Hendry with a mid-ring singalong. This was his way of announcing he’ll be a part of the Raw roster.

Lynch gets cocky and tries to seemingly do a Moonsault of her own. She gets kicked off and takes an Acai Moonsault from Sky — then the match gets completely ruined by Asuka. She attacks Sky when the referee isn’t looking, allowing for another Manhandle Slam and a win for Lynch.

How the hell can WWE seriously keep this going after releasing Sane? Just pretend like it never happened. What a joke. Thankfully, the crowd loudly cheers “We want Kairi” — which WWE tries to turn down on the volume. Hilarious.

Sky snaps Lynch to the mat with a big Super Kick and then a double underhook backbreaker. That looked like it might have sealed it, but Lynch kicks out. She goes after Sky, who looks for an Over the Moonsault. Sky instead hits a tornado DDT. The Over the Moonsault follows! Lynch gets her feet up, then lands the Manhandle Slam! Sky kicks out!

Sky starts to get her offense going with a spinning backfist before a flapjack. She targets Lynch’s arm, dropping it over the rope before hitting a missile drop kick and her emote. The Bullet Train Attack follows, as does the Lynch pin kick-out.

Lynch lands a reverse DDT-elbow drop to set up a potential Manhandle Slam. Sky rolls out for the double stomp. A Lynch forearm stops a suicide dive from Sky. Lynch isn’t out of danger, as a Sky Sunset Flip turns into a big Powerbomb to the outside floor.

Lynch says she wanted the best of the best. Something new, which Sky is not. She then compares Sky to Marty Jannetty, as Rhea Ripley is the Shawn Michaels. That doesn’t quite hit.

As she goes to escape, Adam Pearce gives Sky the title shot, and the match is on.

Lynch boasts about her accomplishments at WrestleMania. She starts dishing out all the stats, then calls herself the GOAT — as she does. Then she turns her direction to her daughter, saying she needs to show her what a real champion looks like. She seemed to be turning face for a brief moment, then slandered Laredo. It led her to issue an open challenge, which Iyo Sky accepted.

Well, all right. Let’s see where this goes, especially after the WWE release of Kairi Sane.

Becky Lynch makes her entrance — after a pretty solid, but funny, Grande Americano vignette. WWE has really gone all in with the nonsense of those gimmicks.

Penta regained momentum after the commercial break, landing a Cross-Body. It was short-lived before Rusev countered another Destroyer to land another side slam. A Machka Kick connects for Rusev, and he wants the Accolade. Instead, Penta escapes, fakes the springboard Destroyer, and jumps off to score a roll-up win. That was wildly anticlimactic. Rusev, of course, continued the attack afterward — until Page aided the attack, and Je’Von Evans came to Penta’s rescue.

Ethan Page continued to remain part of this dynamic by going ringside. The early going of the match saw Rusev largely in control, preventing a Penta springboard Destroyer with a side kick, then a side slam.

Judging by last week, there’s no way we’ll get a clean finish in this match. But it should be fun while it lasts.
