Your Disney trip could cost more next year, but it doesn’t have to

A Disney vacation could cost you more next year, depending on when you visit.

Walt Disney World opened up bookings this week for the first 10 months of 2027.

The newly expanded ticketing calendar shows the starting price of standard one-day, one-park tickets remained the same. However, the top end is inching upward with a 10% increase over 2025’s highest prices.

Disney says it’s committed to providing guests with a variety of ticket options including ticket deals and discounts to help families save and visit in ways that make sense for them.

Here’s how much Disney World tickets will cost next year and how to find the best deals.

How much does it usually cost to go to Disney World?

Disney World tickets vary by date and park, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom being the least expensive followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom typically has the most expensive entry tickets.

Standard one-day, one-park tickets start at $119 at Animal Kingdom for adults, which for pricing purposes is anyone over age 9.

In 2025, Magic Kingdom tickets topped out at $199 on the most popular dates of the year, which are usually around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This year, Magic Kingdom tickets go up to $209 over the holidays.

Next year, Magic Kingdom tickets will reach $219 on select dates and could go even higher. November and December tickets have not yet been released, and holiday tickets tend to be the most expensive.

“Disney continues to lean into this demand-based pricing model where they’re basically increasing prices on days where they know the demand is strong and is there, and maintaining lower prices on the other dates where they want to make sure that it’s both affordable for guests and pulling in and spreading demand,” said Gavin Doyle, founder of MickeyVisit.com.

Why has Disney gotten so expensive?

From groceries to gas prices, nearly everything has gotten more expensive, but there are a few factors for park goers to consider.

The first goes back to supply and demand. Magic Kingdom isn’t just the most popular park at Disney World; it’s the most visited theme park in the world.

“Disney’s at a point right now where they have a limited amount of space,” said AJ Wolfe, author of the best‑selling book “Disney Adults: Exploring (And Falling In Love With) A Magical Subculture” and owner of Disney Food Blog and AllEars.net. “They can only fit so many bodies in there, and the more people who want to come, the more they have to raise those prices.”

Magic Kingdom is expanding with a new Villains land, but that won’t be for a while. Other new experiences headed for the Florida resort are a new Cars‑inspired area where Tom Sawyer Island used to be at Magic Kingdom, a new Tropical Americas‑themed land where DinoLand U.S.A. was at Animal Kingdom, and a new Monsters, Inc. area in the former Muppets Courtyard at Hollywood Studios.

The resort also continues to invest in existing experiences: refurbishing resort hotels, recently enhancing Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and soon‑to‑reopen Big Thunder Mountain; reimagining Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to star the Muppets and Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station to feature Bluey; and more.

“Disney keeps investing in those park experiences, so they’re going to have to pay for that somehow,” Wolfe said.In the past, Disney has also said it’s committed to paying cast members industry‑leading wages while enhancing and refreshing guest experiences.

What’s the cheapest way to get Disney tickets?

Disney World publishes date‑based prices well in advance on its website, so guests can find tickets that fit their budgets and schedules.

For both 2026 and 2027, the cheapest standard one‑day, one‑park tickets are available on select dates in August and September.

The resort also offers limited‑time deals that can bring costs down further. For instance, this summer, guests can get a 4‑Day, 4‑Park Magic Ticket starting at $399, which works out to less than $100 per day. Prices vary by date. Details on the latest promotions can be found on the Special Offers page of the resort’s website.

“Disney knows that it’s important to maintain an affordable, accessible experience for the American middle class to be able to visit the theme parks because it creates lifelong fandom and connection to the Disney Experiences offering,” Doyle said, referring to discounts as levers to increase access.

Wolfe noted that even when park prices were lower, people would say they were too expensive. “Well, they keep increasing the prices and people keep going,” she added.
