4Warn Weather – After a quiet Sunday night Southeast Michigan will have the chance for more severe storms as the workweek begins.

Southeast Michigan will see rain chances diminish as Sunday evening goes on. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight. A southerly breeze around 10 mph will help to keep temperatures mild, and we only fall to the low to mid 60s by Monday morning.

We’ll start Monday with sunshine, warming to the 80s for the afternoon with a breezy southwest wind.

Showers and thunderstorms look to develop in the afternoon and will linger into the evening hours.

There is the chance for a few strong storms – the Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe weather in Southeast Michigan Monday.

There is the same risk in place for Tuesday.

Both days, the best time for severe storms will be in the afternoon and evening. Large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain will be the main storm hazards.

Tuesday will also be another hot day with afternoon temperatures once again in the mid to upper 80s.

We turn cooler Wednesday with highs in the mid 60s. Temperatures stay comfortable to end the week.
