🎶 Who is BTS? 🎶
BTS is an acronym for “Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boy Scouts)” or “Beyond The Scene.” The South Korean boy band formed in 2010 with seven members: RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jung Kook, Jimin, Jin, and V. They made their official debut in 2013 with their single album, “2 Cool 4 Skool.”
In 2017, BTS crossed into the U.S. music market, becoming the first Korean group to receive a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their single “Mic Drop,” as well as the first act from South Korea to top the Billboard 200 with their studio album, “Love Yourself: Tear(2018).”
The band has broken numerous records on YouTube and received several Grammy nominations with their dedicated fanbase, the ARMY, cheering them on every step of the way.
Originally a hip-hop-focused group, the band has crossed into many other genres, covering topics in their lyrics such as mental health, self-love, coming-of-age, individuality and empowerment.
This is the first world tour since the group announced a hiatus for their mandatory South Korean military service in June 2022. They released their seventh album, also called “Arirang,” on March 20, 2026.
