Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens has been named the 2025-26 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year.

Stevens earns the honor for the second time, having previously received it in 2023-24.  He is the 12th executive to win the award multiple times since it was first presented in 1972-73.

Stevens assembled a team that finished 56-26 in the 2025-26 regular season, the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.  The Celtics secured a top-two seed in the NBA Playoffs presented by Google for the fifth straight season, matching Stevens’ five seasons in his current role.

Before joining Boston’s front office, Stevens served as the team’s head coach for eight seasons.  During his 13-year tenure with the franchise, the Celtics have made 12 playoff appearances.

The voting panel for the 2025-26 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year Award consisted of basketball executives from NBA teams.  The balloting was tabulated by the independent accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.
