“Janice STFU,” from ICEMAN, arrives with 40.7 million official streams, 2.1 million radio airplay audience impressions and 3,000 sold in the U.S. May 15-21.

The single launches atop the Streaming Songs chart, where it’s Drake’s record-extending 22nd No. 1, with the second-biggest streaming week of 2026, after only Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” which drew 43 million in February, following his Super Bowl LX halftime show performance. “Janice STFU” has the highest sum for an R&B/hip-hop title in more than a year, since Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” logged 45.2 million for a week in March 2025. “Janice STFU” also opens at No. 6 on Digital Song Sales.

“Janice STFU” was the most-streamed and top-selling song among Drake’s newly-released music and fourth in radio reach. The leading title in airplay audience was, ironically, “2 Hard 4 the Radio” (6.3 million), followed by “Ran to Atlanta” (4.1 million), “Cheetah Print” (2.8 million), “Janice STFU” (2.1 million) and “Amazing Shape” (1.2 million).

Concurrently, “Janice STFU” becomes Drake’s record-extending 32nd No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which use the same multimetric methodology as the Hot 100. Drake is far ahead of the competition on the rankings, outpacing Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder (20 No. 1s each) on the former and Lil Wayne (12) on the latter.

Drake also becomes the first artist with as many as 10 No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100. (His only leaders to start not at the bottom, but not on top: “In My Feelings,” No. 6; “Work,” No. 9; “One Dance,” No. 21; and “What’s My Name?,” No. 83.) All eight of his No. 1s this decade have debuted at the summit.

“I’m one away from Michael,” a chart-knowledgeable Drake notes in 2023’s “First Person Shooter,” which also shouts out Jackson’s classic 1983 Hot 100 No. 1 “Beat It.” The lyric became antiquated upon the debut of “First Person Shooter,” which upped Drake into a tie with Jackson for the most leaders among solo males. With the entrance of “Janice STFU,” Drake’s 14 Hot 100 No. 1s give him the mark all to himself.

Jackson solely held the record for the most Hot 100 No. 1s among male soloists for more than 35 years, beginning on July 2, 1988, when “Dirty Diana” became his 11th (and the fifth from his album Bad, the first of two such feats in the chart’s history). That week, he one-upped Stevie Wonder’s 10 No. 1s. Drake tied Jackson at 13 leaders when “First Person Shooter,” featuring J. Cole, debuted atop the survey dated Oct. 21, 2023.

Drake also matches Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the second-most Hot 100 No. 1s among all soloists, after Mariah Carey (19).

Here’s a rundown of the acts with the most Hot 100 No. 1s, dating to the chart’s Aug. 4, 1958, inception:

Meanwhile, Drake boasts the fourth-most total career weeks at No. 1 ever on the Hot 100: 57. Carey leads with 101, followed by Rihanna (60) and The Beatles (59). Boyz II Men complete the top five (50).

Plus, Toronto-born Drake extends his record for the most Hot 100 No. 1s among Canadians. His neighbors at the north of the list: Justin Bieber, second with eight, and The Weekend (seven).

Drake debuts nine songs in the Hot 100’s top 10, boosting his record total to 90. All nine are from ICEMAN, which joins the elite list of albums with five or more top 10s.

Drake charts a new single-week record 42 songs on the Hot 100, surpassing the 37 that Morgan Wallen stacked on the May 31, 2025, chart, similarly powered by the Billboard 200 debut of his album I’m the Problem. Wallen rewrote his own mark of 36 set when predecessor album One Thing at a Time made its chart start on the March 18, 2023, list.

As Drake surges to 90 career Hot 100 top 10s, Future adds his 16th and Molly Santana earns her first in her first week on Billboard’s charts, thanks to “Ran to Atlanta.” (Hot 100-lanta: The city was previously represented in the top 10 by either title or artist name thanks to two No. 7-peaking yacht rock favorites by Atlanta Rhythm Section: “So in to You” and “Imaginary Lover,” in 1977-78.)

Drake also extends his record for the most top 40 Hot 100 hits to 241 (adding 23), ahead of runner-up Taylor Swift’s 177, with Lil Wayne (91), Presley and Ye (81 each) rounding out the top five.

Drake additionally pads his mark for the most overall Hot 100 entries to 402 (debuting 40), becoming the first act to clear a stratospheric 400 career appearances. Swift is next with 276, Future one-ups his total to 228, the Glee Cast compiled 207 and Lil Wayne has 195.

“Janice STFU” also stands out sonically as the first rap Hot 100 No. 1 (as defined by titles that have hit Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart) in a year and a week, since Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” finished its 13-week reign on the May 24, 2025, chart. (In between, 13 titles led — eight pop, two country, one dance/pop, one Latin and one R&B.)

Before that break, no rap titles ruled the Hot 100 over more than a year in 2022-23, in between Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” and Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red.” Prior to that, however, rap No. 1s hadn’t missed a year’s span since 1999.

As previously reported, pop overwhelmed R&B/hip-hop in the Hot 100’s upper reaches in 2025.

As Drake splashes into unchartered chart waters, “Janice STFU” interpolates Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers.” That song became a top 10 hitin multiple countries in 2011-12 for the Swedish artist, although it has never reached a U.S. Billboard chart.

“I think it’s potent,” Lykke-Li told Rolling Stone of the usage in “Janice STFU.” “It has that raw, revenge, hip-hop energy.”

Lykke Li cowrote “I Follow Rivers” with Björn Yttling and Rick Nowels, both of whom have hit the Hot 100’s top 10 as writers. The former did so via OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried” (No. 6, 2022), while Songwriters Hall of Fame enshrinee Nowels, among his four top 10s, previously ascended to the chart’s most celestial spot with Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” in 1987.

Drake holds nine of the Hot 100’s top 10 for a second time, after becoming the first artist with such a haul on the Sept. 18, 2021, chart, the debut week for his album Certified Lover Boy.

Only Taylor Swift has bested him, with three clean sweeps of the Hot 100’s top 10, thanks to the explosive chart debuts for 2022’s Midnights (the top 10), 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department (a record top 14) and last year’s The Life of a Showgirl (top 12).

One song, thus, interrupts Drake’s presence in the latest Hot 100’s top 10: Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” at No. 5, down from 10 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. The track is essentially even week over week in streams (27.7 million), while up 3% to 49.6 million in radio reach and 26% to 9,000 sold — helped by her record-setting night at the Academy of Country Music Awards May 17. It also holds for an eighth week atop Digital Song Sales and tops the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart for a 26th week.

The next non-Drake song on the Hot 100 doesn’t show until No. 14: Langley’s “Be Her” (which she sang at the ACMs), down from its No. 2 high. Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” follows at No. 16, as it leads Radio Songs for a 14th week (71.1 million, down 2%), while topping the multimetric Hot R&B Songs chart for a 19th week, extending his longest No. 1 runs on both rankings; it led the Hot 100 for three weeks beginning in January. Next beyond those songs on the Hot 100, aside from those by Drake, are two by Olivia Dean: “Man I Need” (No. 17, after hitting No. 2) and “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” (No. 20, down from its No. 5 best).
