FAIRFIELD, S.C. (WIS) – The Fairfield County School District announced one of its charter buses was involved in a traffic accident.
According to Fairfield County, one of the two charter buses that were transporting students who were participating in the End-of-Year Field Study was involved in a traffic incident on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County, Florida, on Thursday afternoon.
The district said emergency personnel and school officials responded to the scene. Four individuals were reportedly transported for evaluation and were reported to be in stable condition with minor injuries. There were no serious injuries reported among students or staff members.
According to the district, families will be updated directly if additional information becomes necessary.
