The manufacturing and retail company posted on its website that its studios and showrooms are closed.
PENNSYLVANIA, USA — A British manufacturer and retailer of custom-fitted kitchens closed their showrooms across the state, prompting layoffs in Luzerne and Lehigh Counties.
Wren US Holdings Inc. posted on its website saying, “We regret to inform you that our showrooms and studios are now closed.” One of the showrooms included the Wren Kitchens showroom in the Wilkes-Barre Township Commons and another in Allentown.
Newswatch 16 spoke to a now-former employee who worked at the Wren Kitchens warehouse in Sugar Notch and said they were allegedly told that they were laid off at the end of the day.
It is unknown how many employees were affected by the showrooms’ closure.
On their website, they have a form for anyone who requires assistance.
In October of 2020, Wren Manufacturing Inc. announced they were hiring 360 area residents for the opening of its new kitchen cabinet manufacturing facility and North American headquarters in Hanover Township and Sugar Notch.
Wren Kitchens had 13 showrooms across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
