The Mariners centerfielder endured one of the more painful at-bats of the season. He fouled consecutive pitches off his lower body, first striking his right leg before another ball caught him near the shin area. This left J-Rod struggling as he needed a moment to regroup in the batter’s box. Waiting next in line to bat, Arozarena made sure the moment ended in comic relief.
