In recent years, Meghan and Harry have admitted that they didn’t have a solid plan for how they would rebuild their careers after leaving the service of the crown in early 2020, just months before they signed their Netflix deal. Either way, it was clear that Hollywood was interested in giving them a shot, and their company Archewell Productions was born. They also signed an exclusive podcasting deal with Spotify, but that ended in 2023 after just 13 episodes had aired. It took a few years before they released any projects, but their first show on the streamer, Harry & Meghan, broke a documentary-debut record on the platform when it premiered in December 2022. Telling the story of their private meeting, royal wedding, and high-profile exit from the UK, the docuseries made headline news for weeks and provoked much upset among Harry’s extended family.

Harry & Meghan and With Love, Meghan represent Archewell Productions’ biggest splashes in Hollywood by far, but the company has also had its hands in an array of other documentaries, the most recent of which, Cookie Queens, premiered at Sundance in January. If you weren’t paying close attention to the credits while scrolling through the Netflix homepage, you might have missed some of the lesser-known fruits of the couple’s collaborations in the documentary space. In addition, the pair has also optioned novels, created podcasts, and, like many Hollywood types, worked on a few projects that never saw the light of day.

Here are all of the media projects Meghan and Harry have been involved in since their royal exit:

Netflix Projects

Harry & Meghan (2022, six episodes)

In 2021, the year after they relinquished their roles as members of the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted with a documentary crew in tow. That was the first hint that the couple was planning to tell their side of the story onscreen. Soon, acclaimed documentarian Liz Garbus (director of the Oscar-nominated What Happened, Miss Simone?, among others) and her company, Story Syndicate, signed on to round out the production. In December 2022, the series was released over two nights one week apart; it features never-before-seen photos and videos from Harry and Meghan’s private collection, along with exclusive interviews with the couple.

Live to Lead (2022, seven episodes)

Live to Lead, a docuseries about world leaders and inspirational figures, arrived on Netflix later that same month. Though the series does feature one of the final interviews with Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, it understandably premiered to much less fanfare than Archewell’s other debut that month. Harry and Meghan made the show in partnership with Blackwell & Ruth, a production company from New Zealand, and the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Heart of Invictus (2023, five episodes)

Prince Harry appears onscreen in this documentary, which follows participants in the Invictus Games, the athletic competition for wounded service members that he founded in 2014. The athletes talk about their service, their injuries, and how competing in the Games helped them recover from wounds both physical and mental. Directed by Orlando von Einsiedel, who won an Oscar for his 2016 documentary short, The White Helmets, this series was created in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation.

Polo (2024, five episodes)

This docuseries takes viewers into the lives of polo players, including Harry’s longtime friend Nacho Figueras, as they compete in Wellington, Florida. Though Harry is an avid polo player himself, he and Meghan only appear in the show’s final episode. Archewell made the show in collaboration with Boardwalk Pictures, the company behind Welcome to Wrexham and the Netflix hit Cheer.
