COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley announced that Jerzy Robinson (Chatsworth, CA/Sierra Canyon) will join the Gamecocks with four years of eligibility beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. The 6-foot guard is rated the No. 6 player in the Class of 2026 and has extensive international experience with USA Basketball.

“Jerzy is an all-level scorer who can shoot it from outside, get to her spots and be physical in the paint,” Staley said. “Beyond that, she has a winning mentality that she brings to every possession and every matchup she faces. Her competitive spirit and confidence will elevate our program. We can’t wait to get Jerzy to campus and for the FAMS to embrace her and her family.”

A two-time Los Angeles Times All-Star Team member and three-time All-CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) First-Team selection, Robinson capped her high school career as Sierra Canyon’s all-time leading scorer in just three seasons on the team. She averaged over 20.0 points per game each season and pulled down double-digit rebounds per game in her first two seasons as well. The 2026 CIF-SS co-Player of the Year led the Trailblazers to the CIF-SS Open Division championship this season, knocking off the top two seeds en route to the title with Robinson netting 32 points and 12 rebounds in the title game. She averaged 21.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists on the season and was named Southern California Offensive Player of the Year by High School on Sports Illustrated.

Robinson has been a staple on USA Basketball teams since making her debut as a 14-year-old on the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship team. Her 17.3 points per game led the tournament and made her the youngest MVP in the history of the event as the U.S. claimed gold. The following year, Robinson repeated the effort in leading the U.S. to gold in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup with her tournament-best 20.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game earning MVP status once again. She was also part of the U.S.’s gold-medal team at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup, adding 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds. This summer, Robinson played for USA Basketball in the Nike Hoops Summit, netting a team-high 19 points in her 23 minutes on the court.

Robinson joins Kelsi Andrews (Hazel Green, AL/IMG Academy) and Kaeli Wynn (Santa Ana, CA/Mater Dei) in the Gamecocks’ 2026 Class.
