Bianca Andreescu’s dream of making for the French Open ended on Wednesday as she went down in the second round of qualifying while seemingly battling an injury. The 2019 US Open champion had to take a medical timeout while facing Viktória Hrunčáková on Wednesday and ultimately fell to defeat in three sets.

Andreescu was attempting to qualify for the French Open, but her run came to an end with a 7-6 (2), 4-6, 4-6 loss to Hrunčáková in the second round of qualifying.

The 25-year-old was forced to take a medical timeout after winning the first set. She had her vitals checked and her thigh examined by the physio before deciding to carry on with the match.
