The Nashville-based blackened deathcore quintet Ov Ruin released their latest single, “A Throne of Nothing,” on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The independent Tennessee group accompanied the track’s debut with an announcement regarding an upcoming music video to be distributed via the Slam Worldwide channel.
This release marks the first new material from the five-piece ensemble since their 2025 project titled “Eternal Lament.” That previous work was initially introduced in April 2025 as a four-track EP before the band expanded the collection into an eight-track deluxe edition one month later.
The current lineup of the group features vocalist Cole Odom, lead guitarist Devin Wade, and rhythm guitarist Jerry Whitaker. Completing the ensemble are bassist Christian Mangrum and drummer Jake Thompson, who joined the core members for the new production.
Technical execution for the single involved Simone Pietroforte, who was responsible for the mixing and mastering process. Additionally, the track incorporates orchestration provided by Harry Tadayon, while the visual component of the release was directed by Scott Rudd.
Ov Ruin continues to maintain their status as an independent entity, according to the report from readers.id. The band manages the distribution of their music directly to listeners through various streaming platforms without the involvement of a traditional record label.
