ST. LOUIS — A powerful storm system is set to sweep through the St. Louis region on Monday afternoon, bringing the risk of destructive winds, large hail and tornadoes.

In response to the severe weather threat, several St. Louis-area school districts and organizations are adjusting schedules, dismissing students early, or canceling after-school activities to help keep students and staff safe.

• Belleview R-3 – Closing at 12:30 p.m.
