When Martin Kowalewski, Managing Director of Marketing & Sales at SV 98, together with Darmstadt’s Mayor Hanno Benz, officially and ceremoniously opened the City Fan Shop on Wednesday afternoon (September 24th), cheers erupted among the invited guests. Shortly afterward, the first Lilien fans streamed in – and witnessed how the dripping wetness outside transformed into pure enthusiasm inside.

With approximately 80 square metres of sales space on the ground floor, the new City Fan Shop combines tradition and modernity: Blue and white colours and authentic Lilien branding create a pleasant shopping atmosphere. SV Darmstadt 98 is particularly proud that the design was created by the employees themselves. From the new jerseys and the classic Lilien scarf to coffee mugs and new collections, you can find everything a 98 fan could want here.

In his opening speech, Kowalewski emphasized: „We all feel completely at home in the new fan shop. The shop exudes a certain charm. We have the feeling that the right people, the right club, and the right place have come together here.“ Darmstadt’s mayor also made sure to stop by the official opening. Benz said: „Darmstadt is SV 98, and SV 98 is Darmstadt. We’re demonstrating this by having the fan shop here in the city centre. We’re proud of that and very happy that it was a success.“

After the official welcome, the Lilies fans were treated to live music by Jimmie Wilson, attractive discounts, and the new Fast Live collection. Numerous shops were open, and the fans‘ hearts were made to shine.

From now on, SV Darmstadt 98 will have two fan shops in Darmstadt – the fan and ticket shop at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor and the new City Fan Shop in a prime location at Wilhelminenstraße 25. In addition, numerous SV 98 fan merchandise can be purchased online.

The new City Fan Shop is now open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm– whether sunny or under dark grey skies and pouring rain.
