James Ransone, ‘The Wire’ star, dies at 46
Actor James Ransone, known for roles in ‘The Wire’ and ‘It: Chapter Two,’ has died. The investigation found the suspected manner of death was suicide.
“Big Brother” Season 27 houseguest Mickey Lee has been hospitalized after “a series of cardiac arrests.”
A message posted on Lee’s Instagram on Monday, Dec. 22, said she is in critical but stable condition in an intensive care unit. She experienced cardiac arrests stemming from flu-related complications, the post continues.
“She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging,” the post reads.
The post also linked to a GoFundMe page fundraising for Lee’s medical expenses. The fundraiser has raised more than $22,000 as of Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Lee competed on “Big Brother” earlier this year, where she placed 10th and was evicted in week eight of the competition.
The 35-year-old event curator had one head-of-household reign in week four, when she used an interrogation power to dethrone Rylie Jeffries from the post. She was also part of several influential alliances, but was ultimately targeted for eviction by other houseguests for her domineering leadership style.
‘Big Brother’ players send well wishes amid Mickey Lee’s hospitalization
Several fellow “Big Brother” players sent well wishes to Lee after the news of her hospitalization broke.
“Mickey is a fighter, and I know she’s going to come back stronger than ever. Until then, let’s show up for our girl in every way we can,” Jimmy Heagerty, who was closely aligned with Lee in the game, wrote on Instagram.
Heagerty added, “Please keep her in your prayers, manifest healing energy, share her most recent post, and—if you’re able—consider donating to help support her and her family during this incredibly difficult time and the recovery ahead.”
“Prayers Mickey,” Rachel Reilly, a previous “Big Brother” winner who returned to compete on the latest season, wrote in a comment. “Thinking about you and your family.”
Ashley Hollis, the winner of “Big Brother” Season 27, wrote on X, “Sending her whole family love this holiday season but per Jimmy it sounds like Mickey is in stable condition.”
