Bestselling author and host of Fox News Sunday, Shannon Bream, made her first Nixon Library appearance to talk and sign her inspiring new book, Nothing Is Impossible with God. Bream was joined by Greg Laurie, Senior Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, for an interview covering highlights from the book.
Bream shared her personal struggle with an undiagnosed medical condition and living with chronic pain that led to her writing this book. She spoke of the feeling of desperation she reached when a doctor dismissed her pain, describing it as: “I needed a life preserver and I feel like he threw me an anchor.” Turning to Scripture, Bream found eleven examples of overcomers that provide timeless lessons that can be applied to current situations, including the loneliness epidemic, feelings of inadequacy, and facing our fears. Through candid storytelling, Bream and Laurie shared how they draw strength from faith.
